The Professional Educator College App is designed for educators and Organisations to work together to bring Educator capabilities in line with the needs of the 21st-century educator.

Educators profile their teaching and assessment skills along with noting their vocational currency to provide Organisations with the means to address capability building.

For the Educator
The PEC App assists educators to maintain their currency in line with the standards for RTOs 2015. The PEC App is designed to recognise the skills and capabilities of educators and to provide access to tailored individual Professional Development.

Educators use the profiling tool to map current experience and methods against the business ideals for each capability. Supervisors contribute to the educator’s self-assessment to provide a completed profile.

The PEC App allows educators to plan, view and track their Professional Development and to register for an Educator Passport.

The PEC App provides for the recognition of activities undertaken to maintain vocational currency.

The Educator Passport is an annual recognition of capabilities and effort to maintain teaching excellence, vocational currency and long-term career development of Professional Educators. Moreover, the easy to print out PD history information is ideal for demonstrating educator professional and vocational currency.

For the Organisation
The Professional Educator College App is designed to recognise and build the capability of teaching staff in your organisation.

The PEC App enables educators to plan, view and track their professional development while supporting the whole of workforce planning and development.

Using the profiling tool, educators undertake a self-evaluation of their individual skills against the business ideals for each capability statement. This information is coupled with supervisory benchmarking to provide a graphically driven dashboard for each educator, displaying current skills and supervisor feedback compared with the desired business ideal.

The profiling tool allows for data to be aggregated informing the whole of institute workforce planning and development initiatives.

The capability statements provide supervisors and educators with a common framework for discussing workplace performance and development needs. Managers and supervisors are provided with downloadable reports that provide a visual representation of the combined capabilities for all educators within their area.

Provision to upload and recognise external Professional Development activities is key to providing a total picture for each educator.

Maintaining vocational currency is a key indicator for building workforce development. The PEC App provides for recognition of activities undertaken to ensure vocational currency.
